World of Warcraft - Item Upgrading
Item upgrading allows players to boost the gear score of an item to 700 and also add an additional perk. Items can be upgraded if they're in your inventory and you bring them to the kiln.
Certain items are worth upgrading because of their distinctive stats. (For example an excellently roll breakpoint armor is used in melee PvP). Other items such as weapons don't really change after an upgrade and therefore aren't worth the effort.
Weapons
Upgrades to weapons can increase their numerical stats, such as attack damage, crit chance and PvE/PvP damage. Weapons also come with an unchanging bonus that increases their damage per second. Additionally some weapons come with a set bonus that activates when three or more of the same weapon are equipped on a unit. This bonus can sometimes exceed the damage a weapon upgrade alone can cause.
The cost of upgrading a weapon's capabilities is contingent on the rarity of the weapon and its current level. For item upgrade , a +2 weapon will require two regular Smithing Stones to upgrade while the +3 model requires four. The number of stones needed to upgrade the weapon will continue to increase until it requires an upgrade to a higher level of Smithing Stones, at which the amount will be reset to one.
Upgrades to weapons will also reroll the stats of the base. While this is generally an excellent thing however, it could have negative consequences too. In the case of items that are only used in a particular build (Whistant's shield for FB Sorcs, for example), upgrading them may render them unusable unless you have an extremely lucky roll.
It is possible to upgrade armor items to improve their effectiveness. For example, if you upgrade chests or helms it will boost the defense of its base, while gloves and belts enhance their required strength and dexterity. Armor also offers an option to reroll its Enhanced Defense%, meaning that it could roll back to a lower number.
The upgrade template of a weapon will show the new stats it will gain when upgrading, along with the values of these stats. This means that an upgrade from a sword with 8 damage to an 11-attack-damage sword will result in the weapon gaining an attack damage of 3. However the 3% difference doesn't mean that it will hit for 3 times less often, since it is an absolute number.
A weapon can be rerolled by pressing the green button with circular arrows within the item menu. The item will be rerolled and alter its stats but not reset the weapon's levels or tie it to the account status.
Armor
A few tweaks to your armor could make a a huge difference in your ability to endure. Certain sets can offer massive increases in resistance to poison, curses fire, magic, and other. This can make it easier to get through difficult terrains. In general, the greater defense your character is, the more value you get from each point of health and it's crucial to upgrade your armor as much as you can.
To upgrade your armor, go to one of the Great Fairy Fountains in the game. There are four in total each of which requires you to complete a special side quest involving the Stable Trotters musical troupe. After you've completed your main quest, and the corresponding fountains, you'll have the option of talking to any Great Fairy in order to unlock the armor upgrade menu.
Each piece of armor can be upgraded to three levels, and the amount of material and Rupees required to complete each level will differ. In general, you'll be looking at anywhere between three Red Chuchu Jellies and ten Rupees for the first upgrade, and anywhere between five Rubies and 10 Fire-Breath Horns for each subsequent one. The Champion Leathers, as an example can be upgraded to a 5 defense rating, which allows you to remain competitive in frigid conditions with a lot of enemies. The Snowquill Headdress, on the other hand, can be upgraded as high as +20 defense, which means you're able to survive a battle with your comrades.
You can't upgrade your armor in the same way as weapons. If you're playing as a Warrior then you should concentrate on upgrading your armor to increase physical strength or the power of spells. It's also worthwhile to save your armor upgrades for the armor you'll wear at the end of the game, such as the Ring of Lightning and Spectral Shield or the helmet you'll wear for the final boss fight and the Monter Parts Merchant's mask.
You can also unlock some perks for your armor by presenting the jeweler at Gerudo Town 10 Twinkling Titanite. You'll generally want to save these upgrades to the weapon you'll use to beat the game. For instance the Longsword or Battleaxe. It's nevertheless beneficial to have some upgrades for the armor on your chest and helmets to let you sneak around some monsters.
Potions
Potions are liquids that when consumed by the participant, produce a temporary effect. There are five types of potions that have different effects and durations. Certain potions can be upgraded to improve their level of effectiveness. Alternatively, the effects of some potions can be enhanced by adding redstone or glowstone dust them.
Upgrades to potion cost a certain amount of XP. These can be earned by making them on a crafting table or in the chest of the Alchemist. However, the upgrade price changes depending on what kind of potion you wish to upgrade, and also on the item's Mark Level and Rarity.
To upgrade a potion simply right-click on it in your inventory. Then select "Upgrade" from the menu. This opens an GUI where you can choose the potion you want to upgrade and the amount of XP they'll give you when upgraded. The upgrade of potions can be completed in batches of up to five at a single time, and the XP they earn will be added to your current XP count.
Once a potion is upgraded, it will not degrade unless you use it again or break the bottle in which it is stored. You can also rename the potion by clicking it in your inventory.
There were a few changes to the mechanics of potions in version 1.7.2. For example, splash potions now have an average duration of 0:08 (this is not the same as the 22.5 seconds displayed on the item hover display). The table for potion is now crafted from four Wood Planks, and two Glass. It can be used in both Survival and Bedrock. Contrary to Java Edition, Bedrock edition potions are not able to be used in cauldrons. This is the same for using a potion within an empty cauldron. This will draw out the potion, and refill the bottle.
In addition, there are lingering potions, which are made using splash and dragon breath potions. Redstone is also added to potions that are lingering to increase their effect. The table of potion ingredients is rearranged to look more like the Java Edition. New potions have also been added, such as the potion of leaping and decomposition.
Trinkets
A trinket is a small and cheap ornament or piece of jewelry. It could also be an ornament or object that has a purpose but is not important as a Thimble. In some traditions, trinkets are used to symbolize affection or friendship, particularly between family members.
Trinkets can be upgraded by players in addition to weapons and armor, as well as potions. They can be upgraded by visiting an upgrade vendor and paying the appropriate currency. Trinkets like other items that can be upgraded can be swapped at will without losing stats.
The upgrade vendors are located in major cities and the capital of each zone, as well as in in dungeons. Upgrades for trinkets can be purchased with gold, tokens or fragments of trinkets that are rare.
Upgrades are a cost-effective alternative to buying a brand new trinket. A player can upgrade a trinket for just 12 tokens. The new trinket will have the same base ilvl as the previous one, and will include an additional upgrade bonus of 1.

Once the old Trinkets have become not usable they can be upgraded. This allows a player to increase both their power and value with time. They can be traded among players, making them an alternative to gold.
In general, players should upgrade their top-priority items first. This means that the most-important slot items for each class are upgraded first before their secondary gear and other equipment that they will not replace anytime soon (such as a ring or an cloak). Players should also take into consideration their class's preferred stats when deciding the items to upgrade. If Haste and Crit are two of the most important stats to a tank player, then they should upgrade their helm, chest and shoulders.
When they are no longer useful trinkets are able to be upgraded to a higher level. The new trinket comes with an additional 1% bonus. Re-upgrading will destroy the trinket unless it can be salvaged using the help of a Black Lion Salvage Kit, or a salvage tool. Upgrades to trinkets can be more expensive than other upgrades, but still cheaper than buying a new one.
