14 Smart Ways To Spend Your Leftover Item Upgrades Budget

Path of Exile Item Upgrades

Item upgrades are a common and important way to improve the performance of numerous items in Path of Exile. They can be a great source of additional damage and more AD or even more attaches.

Rare-grade equipment is usually superior to the more modernized Common or Magic gear because of their high requirements.

Armor

Armor upgrades are a type of upgrade that can be used on weapon and armor items. They boost the effectiveness of the item they are connected to. Armor upgrades can be found in the world of the game and can be purchased from Blacksmiths at any bonfire. Alternately, they can be salvaged from items that have upgrade components inside them, using a specialist or more powerful salvage kit.

The amount of damage an armored item or weapon is able to absorb is dependent on the extent of its upgrades. The ability to absorb damage of an armor piece will increase when it's upgraded to the maximum upgrade level. But, it's important to keep in mind that this will raise its weight, requiring it to weigh more than it was before.

There are a variety of armor upgrades that are available in the game. Each has a different effect. Certain upgrades give armor an extra amount of health points while others make it more powerful and lighter. The name of the upgrade will indicate the type of upgrade the item can receive, as shown below.

A few upgrades also feature magic or a hybrid of technology and magic which is identified by the "Magic" or "Hybrid" entry in the table below. Additionally, some upgrades require charges to use, which are indicated by a "Charges" entry in the table below. These charges are either updated daily or never expire, depending on the upgrade.

Iron Ore is the cheapest option to upgrade your armor. It can be found by exploring and looting small treasure chests. Titanium is more expensive, however, it is available at the smelters in Orgrimmar and Stormwind City. Certain upgrades, like the Reforge or the Hot Potato Books can only be used on armor pieces that are of high-level. These upgrades can provide a significant boost to performance and are worth the investment, particularly for one-handed weapons.

The player must be aware that upgrading a piece up to the maximum upgrade level will boost its defense. However, it can also decrease the speed and agility of the piece. For this reason, it is generally not recommended to upgrade the majority of armor pieces that are higher than +9 because the increase in defense is generally not worth the extra weight and power cost of the upgrades needed.

Weapons

Weapon upgrades allow players to increase the effectiveness of specific aspects of a weapon. For example an upgrade can increase the damage dealt by a shotgun's shells or the accuracy of a rifle sniper. Some weapons have special upgrades to improve their inherent characteristics. Frictionless materials (improves stability, reduces the risk of the risk of overheating) and Kinetic coils (increases the projectile's velocity to cause more damage) are two examples.

Most upgrades for weapons require three Power Dices, a different amount of Minerals and Erons and a whetblade. They can be gained by completing Side Quests or by killing a certain number of monsters and bosses.

To upgrade the weapon, equipment set piece or Whetblade You must go to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine, and pay her an upgrade fee of a certain amount of Bars. The more bars required to complete an upgrade, the higher the level. If you have multiple upgrade materials, the cost of upgrading will be less.

In Chapter 2: Season 5, the method of upgrading your equipment and weapon sets changed a little. Prior to Chapter 2 Season 5, you could upgrade your weapon or equipment by paying a certain number of Bars. You could do this until the weapon or equipment reached its maximum upgrade level at which point the upgrades would be reset.

You can still do this however, the process is high on RNG and low on agency. You're better off buying gear that has low upgrade levels and high base scores and stat distributions. These items will have a greater chance of granting you the highest level of advantages and benefits.

To improve their skills faster, many players be more inclined to upgrade their weapons. Additionally players, they should think about upgrading the weapons they use with their squadmates to make them more powerful as well. For instance, Shepard should consider upgrading the M92F to unlock the Beretta M93R to make it more useful when paired with biotech specialists such as Grunt and Tali.

Jewels

Jewels are utilized in the sockets of armor and weapons, increasing a stat and providing secondary effects.  item upgrade  is the process of creating them. You combine gemstones with specific reagents in a jewelry table. The higher the quality of the gem, the greater the secondary effect. These reagents are obtained in the world from Treasure Goblins, World Bosses and, sometimes, by salvaging Legendary equipment. You can also purchase them from The Jeweler in exchange for Scattered Prisms and gold.

The Jeweler can boost the quality of a gem in stages ranging from Crude up to Royal. Based on the tier of the gem, it will provide a different stat boosts when it is inserted into gear, weapons and jewelry.

All levels of jewels can be made at the Jeweler however, there are some exceptions to this, such as the rare and legendary gems that require you to be at a certain level to qualify for these. Like other upgrade components jewels can be swapped with a jewel of the same type without destroying the original one. However you can only swap out one jewel in an equipment piece only once.

Using more jewels in the movement will make it more smooth and is usually performed for aesthetic reasons. The jewels can also enhance performance and make a harder surface than metal so that repeated friction caused by pivots does not cause damage to the movement.

In addition to the upgrades mentioned above, the player can also acquire glyphs for their shields and weapons from a Glyphmaster. These glyphs give a slight boost and can be freely swapped, but they're not guaranteed to appear as loot. Glyphs are like jewelry and can be upgraded by the Jeweler in exchange for gold and Scattered Crystals. Glyphs can also be taken out and returned to the inventory. Other upgrade components, such as traits and aegis, aren't swappable and can only be recovered using an Upgrade Extractor or salvaging them with Black Lion Salvage Kit or Ascended Salvage Tool.

Trinkets

Trinkets are pieces of equipment that offer an array of small but useful advantages to your hero. They can be obtained in the beginning areas as loot, personal story rewards, from vendors, or by doing road interactions.  item upgrading  can also be made by jewelers, and then found or purchased on the Trading Post.

The first trinkets a player can unlock is the cloak, which gives an unimportant but beneficial boost to movement speed and the ability to escape. The player can then acquire necklaces, rings, and amulets in a similar fashion as they did with weapons and armor. Each piece of equipment comes with a slot for an upgrade which can be universal or jewel. Universal upgrades are smaller and are able to be used on any equipment. Jewels are not upgradeable or replaced, and can only be used with certain trinkets.

These trinkets grant additional buffs and abilities that are active even when the hero isn't engaged in combat. This allows a hero to be more efficient when they are not active. It can also compensate for the lack of a strong slot in the talent tree or team which would normally be filled by a hero's top stats.

A good guideline for trinket upgrades is to prioritize BiS (Best-in-Slot) items that you will not replace soon, followed by items with desirable stats but less important than the iLevel of the item to be upgraded. This is especially true when an item has multiple stats you'd like to upgrade, as it's often better to upgrade just one crucial stat than two subpar ones.

At the beginning of the game players who are in the jungle will typically want to upgrade their trinket into a red one, while top and mid players will usually opt for the pink or green ward (depending on the matchup). These choices will have a significant impact on the hero's abilities to control maps.

In addition to the items listed above, players will discover other trinkets in form of trophies and rewards throughout the game. They can be earned through completing certain milestones in the story, like finishing a chapter's main quest or killing a particular boss.  item upgrader  can be seen by selecting the appropriate achievement in the reward tab of the hero menu.
